#GOFF14 – A Resounding Success!

On 16/09/2014 by Ron

Shack West was thrilled to play a very small part in the Girls On Film Festival last weekend.

Held at the Northcote Town Hall on Friday, Saturday and Sunday, #GOFF14 was a unique event celebrating women in film, both in front of, and behind, the camera.

Hundreds of excited ticket-holders enjoyed screenings of some brilliant titles, including The Runaways, Ponyo, The Punk Singer, Heavenly Creatures, and even the classic Nine to Five starring Dolly Parton, Lily Tomlin and Jane Fonda.

#GOFF14 was made possible by the tireless efforts of a small, formidably-talented team, and was the brain-child of festival director Karen Pickering. #GOFF14 was successfully crowd-funded on Pozible.

Shack West acknowledges the hard work of everyone involved, from the selfless volunteers right through to the guests, the talented performers, the festival ambassadors (aka the “Fairy GOFFmothers”) and the amazing management team that pulled everything together. We can’t wait for GOFF 2015!
